Habitat for Horses

Why should this person or animal be a PetPartners Animaltarian of the Year?

Meg Eades is a horse trainer using a positive reinforcement scientific method called clicker training. She has helped horses which have been in dangerous situations to connect with people and allow us to help them. This method of training is not the norm for the horse world and not well understood by the public. Once you understand positive reinforcement training is designed to reinforce good behavior it all makes since but getting the industry to open their eyes is a difficult one. In Picture:"Genevieve is one of our horses that has been scared of humans for some time. Well our trainer Meg, issuing positive reinforcement training, has been able to build trust and now Genevieve is learning that not all humans are bad!"

If this person or animal was selected, what would they do with the $5,000?

Meg Eads would provide education to the public about using positive reinforcement as well as use the money for feed and shelters.
