Unique Finds For Your Pets

My dog is pretty much our fourth child.  She tags along with us on walks, goes on most of our family trips, and is by our side (or in our laps) whenever we squeeze in a second of down time around here.  So, just like we do for our human children, we like to treat her to some cool new “toys” from time to time.  I am always on the hunt for the next cool feeding bowl, indestructible toy, or healthy treat option for my dog.  I was thrilled when I happened upon these gadgets.

Pet food transport

This container has it all!  A BPA food grade plastic container for your dog or cat’s food, plus bowls that fit snugly over each end that you can use for food and water.  This is so perfect for camping trips and daylong hikes with our pup.  It would also make a great addition to an emergency kit.  And at around $8, you can’t beat the price....for yourself or as a gift!  I think I’ll order one Gamma2 Travel-tainer to keep and one to gift!

Indestructible dog toy

The jury’s still out on whether this one is actually indestructible, but so far, so good.  The Tux by Wex Paw Design is a triangle shaped toy with an open spot for a treat, peanut butter, or canned food (just pop in the freezer for a few hours to avoid a mess).  Our dog could spend hours trying to wrestle the treat from the inside--perfect when we need her to be occupied for a little while!

Doggie bubbles

Is it too early to be talking about stocking stuffers?  These would make the most perfect little gift for any pooch.  And these aren’t just any bubbles, these dog bubbles are peanut butter flavored!  You might find me chasing them around, too.  Pet Qwerks Incredibubbles are non-toxic and tough to pop, so your dog will be safely entertained for a while!

Healthy treats

We feed our human children organic, hormone-free meat, why not “treat” our furry ones the same way?  Primal treats may be antibiotic and steroid free, but they are not lacking the vitamins and minerals your pet needs to thrive and live their best life.  In our post, Doggie Birthday Treats, we talked about the benefits of making your own dog treats, but when there isn’t time, this is the next best thing!  Available for dogs and cats, Primal formulas allow pet moms and dads to deliver well-balanced and nutritious treats without spending time in the kitchen.  It’s a win-win!

Soap-free shampoo

Soap can dry your dog’s skin and hurt his eyes.  Kiehl’s five-star rated shampoo is gentle enough to use on your dog’s face (just avoid the eyes), while cleansing, hydrating, and leaving behind a refreshing lavender scent.  Also try their Spray-N-Play Cleansing Spritz between grooming sessions.

What will you try first?  Several of these items are on my wish list, and a couple of them will serve as the perfect gifts for our doggy friends.  They deserve the best!
